No, yours are a good size. And yes, I do solve Lela's even though sometimes the piece size could be slightly bigger. Sorry about confusion - should have explained myself better. Am off too - good night :)) [My 30-60 piece puzzles are 800x600 - my 80+ puzzles are 1,600x1,200. This one was 4,000x3,000.]
I should add that I'm falling asleep as I type, so I'm sorry if I make even less sense than usual...! I'll check back here in the morning--good night! :-)))
I know that Gail (Octomom) has had issues with that, too, and I've seen a number of puzzles (lelabugosi ones, often), where the pieces are really small. I don't know why that happens, and I don't remember seeing it happen on mine... I didn't know that that was what you were focusing on, although, given your comments about your test puzzles, I probably should have realized it. I do have to ask--have any of my puzzles had pieces that seemed much smaller than usual? Because, as I just said, I don't remember that happening, so I haven't has any reason to try to correct it......
Thanks for answering - and you've helped. There are puzzles in my comfort-solving range that I don't bother with once it becomes apparent the puzzle pieces are too small for me. Hence, my focus on image size.
I really don't know, when it comes to the Paint puzzles, because the "canvas" I use, the same one I always start with, gives me anything from 400-540 pieces, depending on the design and how I crop it, and that's fine with me. (That's all I care about, that it should be in that range, 99% of the time, unless I am deliberately trying to make a monster!). So I just checked a few of them, to answer you here, and they were all somewhere in the high 2000 to mid 3000 range. But I only actually work with the numbers when I want to make a LunaPic larger, when people ask for it. Then I usually try at least 1200 as one of the dimensions. Tonight I enlarged one, to 1400 by 1250, and it jigged to 440. So clearly the 3000 of my Paint isn't necessary......
Thank you, Pat. I was wanting the opinion of someone who solved puzzles, especially large ones. Question - what image size do you use when posting a super large puzzle? ...yes, the other three private ones are going to be deleted. ...Am delighted you liked this. Am having fun with gradients/texture. Again, your input/help is appreciated. :)) ...BTW, we've been getting a lot of snow. Also, wanted to mention I've been solving more of those aforementioned puzzles and am now attacking the harder ones, albeit still smaller grid.
I bookmarked this, plus your other 3 choices! I really don't see any difference in image quality, and if the piece size varies, I couldn't tell, because I automatically shrink them to fit the screen better! In other words, any one would be fine for me to solve, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I'll solve this version, since the others are tests, and this one is public so I know it will stay put! LOL! Love it, Francine! :-))) (Hope you don't mind my barging in uninvited...!).
