So beautiful - I can almost smell those blossoms - amazing how it awakens the senses! Like you, Tex, when I was little we lived on an estate where the houses were arranged around a large oval of grass. There were the most beautiful pink cherry blossom trees growing around the oval of grass. Sadly, they have disappeared over time. I remember collecting the petals that fell off and using them as confetti!
I must be the only one who does NOT like Winter. Spring is my favorite season, having suffered so through Winter--even if I DO live in Fla. Just hate Winter. Summer is my 2nd fave. Don't care for Fall, it means Winter is right around the corner. LOL. So I'm always ready for Spring. I'd be happy for it to be Spring all year! Thanks, Tex. BTW--the Carolina Jasmine is now in bloom and filling the air with perfume & the ground with pretty fallen yellow blossoms..............
For years, there was an almond tree near my home, and that tree would have half red and half pink blossoms, and even some of the blooms had red and pink on one! It was beautiful, but I think it finally was taken out in the name of progress! Thank you, Warbler.
