It was known as carnival glass because they gave it as prizes to get the locals to attend the carnival. My mother says they also gave it as prizes to get you to go to the movies, and that is how she got a bunch. She did not pass it onto me.
It was considered junk then. It is considered very valuable now.
Thanks. There is one at a local online auction that closes in a week that I have a bid one. I really love this color and this style. Not sure what it is called, but it is beautiful.
