Anna-So good to hear from you! I hope all is well with the family, and that your dad is making improvements. Big chickens sound like a good alternative to a huge turkey-and Greek dishes sound very appealing. \
All families have fussy kids...:) Your meal sounds SO very good! Thanks for sharing the tradition with us. suzy
Hi Suzy. Hope all is well with you. We don't have a Thanks Giving in Nz. But traditionally a lot of people have turkeys for our Christmas Dinner. But our family personally, rather have a couple of big chickens. The big chickens or not so expensive and are a little less dry. We actually have a bit of a mixture for a Christmas dinner, as my mum is Greek we add some Greek dishes to the menu. And because we have fussy kids in the family, we have a BBQ as well. So we have The roast chickens, with stuffing and gravy etc/ Ham off the bone / salads/ BBq sausages, kebabs etc / and also the lovely big Moussaka dish I make(Greek dish). And of course we also have some desserts! There is normally so much food, that we have left overs for days!
Happy Thanks Giving to all. And Merry Christmas! Anna
Craziness! Craziness we don't have any craziness are you crazy?Everyone have a wonderful day weather you celebrate this holiday or not. We will hold a drumstick up high for all of you.

Ank-WE are going OUT to dinner at a lovely restaurant in Cooperstown.
Hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving-even those friends in other parts of the world. I am thankful for all of our friendships and craziness!
Chickie I would cook whatever you want! PG you sure are going to have a wonderful spread, enjoy your 'easy' day! Too bad we can't all get together PKH and have a blast on thursday!! Ank better get her boat ready!
I have my 24lb bird sitting in the brine as we speak and will get it ready to smoke Thursday morning and cook all day. I am also smoking some salmon for the fish people. Tis a wonderful day and I only have to cook for 10 what a easy day.
If I was coming to your house for Thanksgiving Robbie, I'd definitely want some of that wonderful seafood you cook. Ofcourse, I'd eat whatever you cook. LOL
Ha! Love it! Thanks, Suzy! (My parents always did a capon instead of a turkey becasue they liked chicken better. So in our case, it really WAS just a big chicken!)
