Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately. Nothing's wrong, just life in general. Love that you're getting out and around, Li! I want to cuddle this little one.....

mariolyn

How long did you have to stand there, camera ready?

joyfulli

Yes, Robyn -- there were still several unhatched eggs ready to go. Bless you!

robryan

How cute Li:)))...and there's another one just waiting behind it!!! Thanks!!

joyfulli

Lyndee, at least one comforting thing is that most of us don't eat fertilized eggs, so we're not eating a baby chick!!
It really was, Patti!!

What a treat to watch!

lyndee

I have seen them peck out of their eggs before and it is amazing. Makes you never want to eat another egg!!!! :)

joyfulli

It was amazing to see it come out and then turn back to search for last tidbits inside the shell. Thanks, Smllpkg.
yes, children were certainly drawn to this exhibit. There were three newly-hatched chicks and several eggs. None of the chicks was fluffy yet!! Thank you, Suzy.

What a nice thing to have at the Museum, for all to see-especially the children. They look so scraggly when they are first born, but it doesn't take them long to fluff out. :)
