Me thinks you exaggerate!!
The only problem is that I was a skinny little thing all my life, and I could eat anything and as much of it I wanted and not gain an ounce. Then when I turned 52 all hell broke loose and I started gaining weight just looking at food. I found it extremely difficult to change a lifetime's eating habits, so here I am now, a rolling thunderball :-(
I like to see people with a healthy appetite (especially when I have done the cooking!) I enjoy my food too, and I inherited my mother's sweet tooth unfortunately. I love chocolate, and if sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart are on a menu, I have a BIG problem! I hasten to add I eat healthy food too!!!
Well, the cream teas were on top of a full English breakfast every morning - Cornish sausages (which I could eat until I fell out of my chair!), eggs, fried tomatoes, fried bread baked beans. And I substituted another sausage for the bacon! I haven't eaten like that since I was a teenager. And the Treacle Sponge - OMG!!!
Oh you shouldn't worry about minor details like that when you are on your holiday Jan!
Oooh, I hadn't, Lorna. Thanks! And no, I didn't have a cream tea at the tearoom - I'd had one three days in a row and was worried about not being able to get into my clothes!!!
Have you seen this Jan? (Just call me your owl spotter!)http://www.jigidi.com/puzzle.php?id=MC5ZBFA9
Nice one Jan. And I suppose the tea room served a yummy cream tea?
Thank you, chickiemama! There's a lovely tearoom on the grounds, too.
