Good eye Dondi picking out the slotted windows. They are slotted to let the bell ringing out to call to service but keep the weather out. I agree on the Gothic look. Art Deco actually incorporated several styles as well as being its own creation. I have seen Art Deco stuff from the late 1800's as well(I've had an antique business for 25 yrs), which is when the idea was conceived. It just wasn't main stream popular till the late 1930's. Tiffany, for example, did some Deco stuff early on. You could certainly be right about the roof line for support of the steeple. I should stop and peek inside. Thanks for your posts.

Note that it has the slotted gothic windows which you identified as deco in the brick church. That's actually a very old convention. Quite a roof on that church, though. I can't help wondering if they didn't build it higher than normal to provide support for the steeple...?
