Old 1800's Church Rapidan, Va.
If you notice, the land really slopes away at the front of the photo. That's because the Rapidan river is right there. Also notice the bell tower is actually 5 stories tall. The whole building either was built high or was raised because of the river flooding, which I've seen it do several times. Thats alot of steps going up into the church and the later added sanctuary. This was taken from the bridge over the river right by the mill dam.
