Fun puzzle. We have quite a few bats on our property and have put in bat boxes in some of the trees in self defense as they love the hide out in the house shutters. Thankfully, they do like the bat houses.
Here is something you will really love!!! There is a wonderful animal photographer named Tim Flach. His bat photographs are his specialty. Check out timflach.com, or google images Tim Flach bats. Very fun puzzle!! Elizabeth
Chloe, there's nothing wrong with not wanting to be around bats or birds or anything else that might dive-bomb a person, especially in a confined space. You're a live-and-let-live person. That's good.
I am scared to death of bats. I sit on my balcony and if I see them flying around at night, I run inside. That being said, I know that they are very beneficial, and do not wish them any harm. On a side note, I am also afraid of birds. Don't have a problem with a big german sheppard, but a little, tiny budgie flying around in someones house causes me to duck & cringe.
I agree. Bats are wonderful creatures and extremely beneficial. So many animal species are fighting for their survival because of human activities and that's a shame.
Delightful puzzle of a much incorrectly maligned little creature. Thanks a lot. Bats are being wiped out by white nose syndrome so we need to give them all the help we can. Lots of people don't like them but they do a lot of good for us.
In Austin, Texas there is a bridge there that thousands of bats make home, people can watch them fly out at night to get their bugs. and goodness knows, Texas has millions of bugs. Love your puzzles, bats or otherwise. Thanks.
A lot of people don't like bats and think all sorts of untrue things about them. To quote a rhyme, "Bats are eerie; bats are scary. Bats do not seem sanitary." But they are cool little creatures really. I'm glad you like them too.
