Dubble stokroos (Hollyhock)

They are a lovely plant, a bit lanky - they look dreary after they're done for sure. Mine tend to re-seed.

I grew up with hollyhocks and my sis and I made ladies with the blossoms. I had to plant them about 5 years ago. They are still going strong. Here, I have to use a shovel to remove the dead stocks, for cleanup in the Fall. Makes for less work in the Spring when it is still cool.
