In 1934 the USPS created a stamp set of National Parks. Beautiful stamps they were, or are, and one of them was of The Great White Throne. Coming up next is a live photo of the same peak.
I believe they were all monochrome until the late 40's or maybe 50's. I still have my 75% full stamp book I kept up with until the mid ninteen nintys when they started producing so many different ones each year. I'll have to look and see .
They did stamps of the national parks in monochrome? There's a questionable marketing decision, and an opportunity lost. Or weren't they doing polychromatic stamps at that time?
