Hi GML, this is a fascinating picture so I did some digging. This is the M/V Cahaba tugboat. She was pushing two barges of coal in Alabama and got caught under the Rooster bridge. The captain stayed with the wheel and was ok, there are news stories and u-tube pictures. This happened in 1979. Thanks for the fun.
Good picture .... makes for an interesting puzzle....
it is now trying to catch the barge to reconnect to it. photos were sent to me have no idea about its personnel. I'm sure all are ok.
