Why are you reporting this puzzle?

This was taken in Washington Park in Springfield, IL, down by the algae-covered lake I posted yesterday. The tall prairie grass was teeming with life! Taken Mon, Aug 4, 2014.

Fantastic photo Laura. Beekay is absolutely right, you should be proud of it.

Great picture. Nice to see this monarch with the perfect background.
Thanks Laura.

Wow Laura, this is a perfect photo. You should be so proud of this one ♥ Worthy of a calendar, Birds N' Blooms, or a coffee table book. Good job :-))))

I am happy you all liked this. I love monarchs but don't see them much anymore. It was a rare treat!

As good as any I've seen published. Wonderful shot,LJ

Great pic. And thank you! Now I know there are still at least two in this world. Late this afternoon I was sitting on the porch watching robins massing. A monarch fluttered up and perched briefly in my hair. My hair is curly, but believe me, it neither looks nor smells like a milkweed flower. Honest!

A perfect photo. So crisp and colorful.

Fabulous pic, thanks Laura. Just beautiful. I was telling ikook that I found a new butterfly in the garden yesterday, but it would not sit still. I was amazed as I thought I knew every type of butterfly we have around here by sight (I don't know the names) so I hope it comes again. Hugs, janet

I did the same shot when we were camping, but your background is much better. I couldn't get my camera to focus right when in close-up mode and I didn't want to get too close and scare it away.

Laura this is the first time in years that side of our fence line has been cut ... But the farmer came along and bush hogged all around the soybean field about a month ago .. It was right after I posted the picture of the milkweed in bloom...

laurajane

Thanksm, Lyndee, Ardy, Morris and Pat!

Aw, Pat...that's terrible! The monarchs need the milkweed :-(

pkin38
