No, that wasn't me Starlord. I was just kind of shuffling around over there ... where no one was looking.
Funnily enough I will be posting a picture of me dancing on Blackpool beach shortly. All we need now is MajorD to agree . . . lol. It's not great enough to be a city though, it's a large town . . . :D)
Blackpool is a great city, Froggy. Never been there, but I was told it is :-)Lady C's info says she is born... now isn't that just great ;-)Glad you liked it, Cevas. was that you, hopping on the chair ? :-)
Oh ... I love Sugar Sugar !!! Thank you Starlord!! I can't sit still when that one's playing!!! And congratulations to everyone who recognized the group. : )
Thanks, was good ladyc to win the T&F that day. :-)
Heyyyy . . . don't diss Blackpool . . . there's nothing better than a quick ride on The Big One to blast the cobwebs away . . . lol
they do Starlord - the Romans would have made the road out of Blackpool - not to it
Is there any other major city in the UK then?I know all roads lead to Rome, but you'll surely have to take the MI5 :-)))
M55 says - this road only goes to Blackpool
MI5 says it's okay :-)
Thank you ladyc. It's in the pipeline - I am deep in discussion with various parties as to security, absolutely necessary for an International Woman of Mystery, (like you, too). I have consulted MI9 and just need final clearance in order to join.
Now squishy ! Well done on today's puzzle, hope you had a lovely weekend at your family birthday celebration but the thing is, your statue has been commissioned and delivered. It is in storage but we can't present it to you with all the fanfare that goes with it unless you join us in the chat room. So, here is the double dog dare - I double dog dare you to get a facebook account :o)
Hi Aggie, sorry I have been out and about. Thanks for your kind comments, glad you had a great day yesterday. Trouble and Frog said you won the 'Who am I' puzzle as well. Congratulations. I think you will always remember 1st July 2013.And thank you gents for your lovely comments, very generous of you I'm sure - making me blush :)))
lol Major D. That's one way of looking at it / her :-)))))Morning Aggie. Lady C is now back on top and Major D isn't approaching anymore.Think he gave up and acknowledged Lady C's puzzle speed
Good morning and congrats to all the winners but mostly ladyc for the time-11 seconds, wow!
yes she is Starlord, just like the statue
She better not break it. It's one of a kind and irreplaceable...
Yes dusting - but only my statue, I didn't want the maid breaking it. I've given her the duster back :))
I'm sorry you have missed you hot tea, Neville... :-)See, I told you that you would surely know their greatest hit. Your 'wild guess' gave the one and only correct answer, Squish. Congrats on that.As you know, there's a statue waiting for you, you just have to come and reveal it.Also congratulations to Lady C, Major D and Froggy as they knew the answer.Lady C dusting? YOU??? You're kidding, right? Do you know how that's done properly. I doubt it.Shhhh, watch out, Lady C.... Major D is approaching slowly :-) Came down from 0:19 to 0:13 already. And if there is anyone out there in the wilderness, the one person who doesn't know Sugar Sugar, here it ishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTfLreVPNVo
Well done Starlord - good one today
Now I can go and have my (cold) tea!
Of course, the second Google search came up trumps. There was the picture. Sugar, Sugar got to No.5 out here in Oz (July '69), and was their best known. But they had four other songs to make our charts:- Bang Shang-a-Lang (No.13, Oct.'68), Feelin' So Good (No.30, Feb.'69), Jingle Jangle (No.36, Feb.'70) & Who's Your Baby (No.30, April '70). Once again starlord, you were right.
Now I can do the other three jigsaws!! After I get my coffee..........
Just found it. Thanks MajorD and Congratulations ladyc! I was searching for hippy bands it never occurred to me that Starlord would use alter-egos!!!!!!!!! A touch of blue-sky, out of the box thinking needed from now on...
Yes, I googled The Archies, and the females looked similar, but could not relate the male images.
if you put the archies in google images you'll see them there Neville
Besides, I'm getting hungry. Tea was on the table 35 minutes ago, and is now going cold.
Thanks squishy2. I've got no idea so will go for Alvin & the Chipmunks, just for an alternate view..
Okay if I have to choose - I'll go for The Archies. Complete guess.
I'm dusting my statue. The maid was about to do it but I've taken the duster from her :o)
I was looking for Andy Kim but didn't see him in the photo
No comment on that one, Squish :-)
Research didn't work - cartoon bands? Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Archies are the only ones I remember from wayback.
Not sure whom you are referring to, Major D. :-)This group was always depicted by cartoon characters, and that's all I will give away for the time being :-)That's why the 'real' musicians are more or less unknown
Oops . . . sorry about that Starlord . . . :D)Would you by any chance be thinking of JK MajorD (and I am not talking about Jamiroquai)? If so I think you will find a cover version was made . . . :D)
Morning Neville and Marge. I'm so convinced that you at least know one of their hits. They had three hits actually.I did find two in the Australian chart list :-)
I commenced saying "Hello" earlier, but my computer suddenly started playing "silly buggers". Not sure what the problem was, but it's gone now. So, good morning again starlord, lady charnley, MajorDon, squishy2, froggy, pkin38, & others. Seems that everyone knows who this group is (but is afraid to say). So, I'll come out in the affirmative and tell you that I haven't got a clue who it is.
so pseudo that the person I always thought was in the group, was not in the photo
Good morning by the way and I'm sure you've just given a great clue :-)
Indeed Froggy... it is a 'pseudo' group. :-)Which ofcourse doesn't alter the fact that they scored a couple of hits.
Good morning . . . :D) lol Starlord . . . I've crawled out of bed to join you and what do I find? You've only gone and given us 'pseudo' group. I shan't mention the name in case someone else gets it . . . ;D)
When you hear their greatest hit, you'll surely know them, Squish. The correct answer was given to me in PM by Lady C (1st) and Major D (2nd) :-)But they're giving everyone a chance to be the official winner ...
Morning all. late again, as usual. No idea who they are - research time!
Morning Neville and Marge. You surely must know this group. Well, their music at least :))
Good morning starlord, lad
Indeed you do, Lady C.. your answer in PM is correctamundo :-)Morning Pk... wow, having a sleepless night? Morning Major D. That's quite allright. Was a rough day yesterday. Don't use all your neighbour's connection speed :-)
Good morning all, sorry I'm late -
Hi pkin - have you stayed up ?
Have no clue....
I know who these are Starlord
Morning Lady C. Unbelievable, but it's sunny here :-)
Good morning Starlord and Starlord fans. Cold, grey and miserable in the North West of the UK today, but we have Do You Remember to cheer us up ? hurrah :))Evening Neville and Marge :))
