BrightSky9

Wonderful to see members of the flock again. What a trio!

Thanks Jan, glad that you enjoy them.

Thanks Florrie. I just wish they were two hens and 1 rooster.

They've been in the loft of the garage for several weeks Ardy but they love being outside and it's a lot healthier for them too. Squeaky is going to be very handsome. If only I had room for another :-)))

ringleader

And I bet you enjoy having them out of the house!! Squeaky looks like s/he is still squeaking. I'm surprised at how much they have grown. Thanks, Edie. Love the update.

JiggyBelle

Love the update on the chickens. The Chronicles are just the best! Thanks, Edie!

Thanks Mat, Lorna, Lela, Barb and PJ. I brought them out over a week ago and they really liked it then it turned very cold especially at night so they went back inside with the heat lamp. Yesterday I brought them back out and they seem to love it. Today for the first time I opened the door to the little run that you can see around their coop. They came out and immediately started flight training. They had never been able to actually flap their wings and get off the ground but they sure did today. They were out with some of my old hens who for the most part ignored them. They stuck very close to their coop and when the big chickens came close they would run back inside. That's what happened here.
Squeaky squeaked for two days straight after he hatched Lela. He was a day younger than the other two who would huddle together and not allow him near. By day 3 they accepted him and he stopped squeaking but his name stuck. They are now 7 1/2 weeks old and one of the two dark ones has already tried crowing. Didn't see who it was but they're both roos so I'm hoping to be able to sell one or both of them.

Surprise! The ground actually looks D-R-Y!!! :)))

Fun shot Edie, and it is good to know that the temperatures finally are good for the chicks too. Nice to see them - and they really have grown!!! To me it looks like Dawn is reading the door sign, and that the others are waiting patiencely to hear .... (ok, me and reading, LOL),
PJ

Great to see them Edie, and so good you finally have the weather for them to be happy outside.
