Thanks, pkin. I just looked up this gull and learned that it's called a Red-billed Seagull, originally native to New Zealand. Aptly named, I might add.

When I lived in Mozambique, I took friends who visited on safari in South Africa at Kruger Park. While they were engrossed in the "Big Five," I was off chasing Beeeaters and other wild birds. I'm hopeless.
