It's obvious she is showing wear, but I still think it's luxurious. Judging by the outside look of it :-) If the service on board is good and if the price is reasonable, I wouldn't mind having a trip with the Fantasy. She's still a goodlooking boat for sure
yes, what makes her special is she was concieved and built at a time when recession had hit the world hard, and the Arison's refused to listen to "good economic business sense" and built her. The rest is history. The Fascination I heard, bulit in 94 was the last time they had to buy a ship "on tick". She revolutionized the cruise business, and will always be famous in the cruise world for what she represented and what came after her. She spent much of her life doing the three and four day cruises from Canaveral to the Bahamas, easy on the ship mechanics, but a tough crowd on the hotel side, and while she does still look good outside she is definately showing wear.
@ Pkin: I knoooow :-)
@ Jonnyt: Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. But if it's a recent pic, the Fantasy still looks good.
She is an old girl now. First of the Fantasy class pre panamax line. She will probably be sold off before too much longer.
