This is like a breath of fresh air. (Spoken on a dreary spring, March day with the wind blowing and 22 degrees F. outside. [-5.55556 Celsius])

Lovely, yes it does look cold, but beautiful too. Sorry about your weather Gayle, I thought there might be a break giving everyone a taste of spring. We had rain, some quite heavy showers today and the temperature dropped considerably too. It's fast becoming 'electric blanket' time again.

Looking at this it almost gives me the chills. It was a little warmer here today...44oF on my patio and sunshine but there is still some snow on the ground in the shady areas (where my patio is). I do have a oil painting of a mountain in the Alps (S. Germany/Switz) area and it is much more "comforting" but it has only a small little pond of water...not a lake and not as much snow on the mountains.

Neat idea, I'll have to try the grated orange rind. I just love the phrase "wash it down." My mother used to remind us often that we shouldn't wash down our sandwiches when we were in a rush to get outside again to continue playing with the neighborhood gang. Many a time we'd just have walking sandwiches. That was when we'd dash inside, throw together a sandwich, then head outside with the sandwich in our hand to keep on playing.

I can't think of a fruit that doesn't go well with peanut butter. Just slather the fig jam on your p'nut butter, sprinkle a bit of grated orange rind on it, and enjoy. Fresh orange slices are one of my favorite improvements to a p'nut butter sandwich, or just lots of fresh orange juice to wash it down.

Sure, as long as you can promise that it's warm, I'll be there in a flash. Mountains I can do. Not quite as good as these, mind you. It'd be worth a try. Turn off your air conditioner. How's fig jam with peanut butter?

So light and ethereal.

Could I interest you in doing the mural, B'mom? Generous compensation in the form of fig jam.

It looks simple enough (not in a derogatory way), I think you could do the wall size mural yourself, Plum. Just set your computer nearby as a reference and sketch it with pencils first. Maybe bone up with some YouTube watercolor lessons first. Then you should be able to turn off your air conditioning. :-)

This would be nice to enlarge enough to cover a wall so it could offer comfort to folks in the triple-digit heat of summer.

Bill_I_Am

It is very pretty, whatever the season. :-)
