catslave

I've been taking them, just have to upload them from the camera/phone and I'll post soon! ☺☻☺

tisketsmum

Good luck catslave, hope the stabbing helps.
Time for more photos of you gang eh?

catslave

Pammi, I'm getting stabbed again tomorrow and seeing my doctor next week. Sigh...

Pammi

Hi catslave. Any good news from your doc on Friday? I do hope so. You must be nearly tearing your hair out by now. I am hoping you are nearly to the end of this awful period you've been through. ☺☺

catslave

Well, I see my doctor on Friday. Here's hoping she has some solution for me!

Thanks for the link Pammi - the conversations we have on Jigidi.... ☺☻☺

Pammi

Hi catslave. What can I say but "bugger", you just can't win, eh? I have a suggestion of which you may already be aware but then, maybe not. I use one Indocid 100mg suppository each evening before bed as my gut absolutely cannot tolerate anti-inflammatories in any shape or form taken orally. I use them for arthritic pain so don't know if they are suitable for your problem. One of the upsides of this is that you become very familiar with your rear end and, dare I say, you become quite good friends. Not a conversation to have over the dinner table!!!! See link below. ♥☺♥

tisketsmum

That's very interesting and useful information florrie, thanks for posting.
I suspect we would all be a lot better off with more "natural" treatments but that wouldn't suit the drugs companies would it, and they are a powerful lobby.

catslave

Thanks florrie, I didn't know about these - but I do eat most of them on a regular basis anyway. I will just HAVE to eat more of them....mmmmmmmm! ☺☻☺

Carol66

Just dropping by say "HI!" :)

mica143

o my god ik ben

catslave

LOL gemstone!!

gemstone

Rats! But at least it IS one step forward. Fingers, eyes, AND toes crossed! ;)

catslave

Hi everyone. Not such good news, I take 2 steps forward and one back... I've had to stop taking my anti inflammatory medication today. I'm seriously anemic and my doctor is worried I'm bleeding into my gut. Fingers crossed that stopping them doesn't increase my pain levels too much!

mica143

hey xxxx

tisketsmum

Hi catslave, glad to hear you're getting better.

catslave

Thanks Carol! I am getting better - though I think my physiotherapist is trying to kill me with exercise!! ☺They are working and I'm hoping to start a phased return to work next month, fingers crossed!!

Carol66

Hi Catslave! Just checking to let you Payton and I are thinking about you. :)

catslave

Thanks for the link, nessham! ♥

nessham

☺☺☺I am glad that you're improving. Take care much. Misses you. Blessings Cats. (http://www.spanishdict.com/translation)

catslave

ivar2012

Nějaké nové fotky s vašimi miláčky. Prosím.
Some new photos with your pets. Please.

catslave

Thank you dobrajaneckova! ♥

dobrajaneckova

catslave, I think of you often. I also learned what it is sciatica. I wishing you better days.

catslave

Carol66, thankfully the sciatica shooting through my leg pain has stopped - for now!! It was very, very painful and I'm glad I 'just' have a bit of lower back pain left from it.☺☻☺

My remaining pain is probably wear n tear - favouring one leg at the expense of the other - and it seems to be getting better, slowly but surely!

I would offer to send Payton one of the three bananas but I think I'd be in trouble if I did!! ☺♥☺

Carol66

PS I think Payton is pouting because he does not have a banana toy!

Carol66

Wow Catslave........I did not know you suffered from Sciatica..........poor joke.......there is nothing to it UNLESS you want to breathe or move. I have been spared but seen Friends suffer through. Take good care please.

catslave

Pammi and Tisketsmum, thank you both! I don't really 'do' social media either - there just isn't enough hours in the day as it is!

Tisketsmum, I always do my exercises - my 'problem' lately was I went online and found more to do and didn't stop when it hurt! I'm just too impatient for this to be done. It's nearly there, I think (fingers crossed)!

tisketsmum

I don't do "Social Media" either Pammi which is why it's so nice we can all have a chat and exchange whatever info we feel comfortable with but without the entire world seeing (they don't know what they're missing ☺☺☺). There's something special about the cat lovers on Jigidi too, such a nice bunch of people.
Catslave I can totally sympathise with you and know how very miserable sciatica can be (my episodes were caused by prolapsed discs and did result in surgery, 3 times for 2 discs and a sciatic nerve compressed by scar tissue. My only advice is, if ever it comes to it, NEVER let an orthopaedic surgeon operate on your back. Neurosurgeon or nothing, really).
Awful as it is, it's worth doing whatever exercises the physio gives you as they'll keep you more mobile in the long run.
I just hope you feel much better really soon.
Love to you, Freya, Ash and Tyr from Tisket & tisketsmum xx

Pammi

Wow, what a brave girl. I have just looked up 'sciatica' and had not previously realised how devastatingly painful the condition can be. I thought my lower back pain was bad enough (a good day is when I don't spit and curse) but you have got the lot and my heart goes out to you. I truly hope things improve more quickly for you and with spring coming your way, perhaps this will be so.

P.S. Sorry, I know Jigidi is not a forum for exchanging personal info but I just don't do 'social media' and wanted to remind you that you have a lot of friends out here in the ether.

catslave

Aww, thanks guys! I didn't have surgery, Pammi. I had sciatica all down my right leg and could barely walk. Now that it has gone (though the back pain hasn't) my left knee no longer wants to work and I ache all over. My leg muscles are weakened and using crutches is not good for my carpal tunnel. My mobility is improving - though I was at the physiotherapist yesterday who decided to checkout my knees again and put them through their paces so today I can barely move! So much soreness and stiffness isn't fun. I hope to be back at work soon - I'm going stir crazy here!!

Nessham, I hope Bing can cope:

¡ Gracias a muchachos! No he tenido cirugía, Pammi.

nessham

I wish you an early improvement, that you continue with your exercise and soon delights us with more photos of Freya, Ash, and Tyr. Many blessings my dear friend. Roxy--------------Te deseo una pronta mejoría, que sigas con tus ejercicios y que pronto nos deleites con más fotos de Freya, Ash y Tyr. Muchas bendiciones mi querida amiga. Roxy

gemstone

Ditto! :)))

Pammi

Hi catslave, well, since it's now the 1st of April I am wondering how things are going for you. I see by your comments that you are still not properly mobile, It has been a long, slow business for you and I totally sympathise with your frustration. Obviously, you had some serious surgery and the post-op period is longer than you might have expected. If it's any consolation, your many Jigidi mates are all still thinking of you and missing you and the furry ones badly. Fingers crossed that you can soon return to work and your normal life. All best wishes from me to you. Pam x x

mica143

hallo xxx hoe gaat het met jou ????groetjes mica

catslave

Thanks Carol and Tisketsmum. It's just taking time and my patience is wearing very thin... At least part of me is thin!☺☻☺

tisketsmum

Thanks for your kind thoughts catslave.
hope you are feeling better too.

Carol66

Just checking in on you. Hope each day gets better!

catslave

I may need to buy more bananas!!! ☺☻☺

catslave

Thank you Tisketsmum (and Tisket)! I'm making slow but steady progress, still on crutches and painkillers but moving about much better. I see your surgery was rescheduled? Hope you had a wonderful birthday and anniversary! ♥

tisketsmum

How are you catslave?
I do hope you're feeling better but sounds like full recovery is a longer job.
Tisket & I send our love xx

catslave

Thanks dobrajaneckova!

dobrajaneckova

catslave glad to see that you are making progress. I wish you a day without pain.

catslave

Thanks gemstone! ♥ I've got more pills to try and more exercises to do - making slow but steady progress...

gemstone

Thinking about you...hoping the pain and pain killers have eased. ☺❤☺

Pammi

Yeah, I can just imagine how your poor hands are having a bad time coping with the crutches. Let's have a 'be kind to your carpal tunnel day' and not even think about taking pics. So long as we know you and the furry kids are OK, that's all that matters. ♥♥

catslave

Aww, thanks guys! I'm still on the strong painkillers but am moving much more easily now. Still using crutches but the physiotherapist has suggested I practice walking with just one crutch - so I'm heading in the right direction. Doesn't look like I'll be at work at the end of this month though. I'm going a little stir crazy!

I haven't been taking photos of the kitties lately - my carpal tunnel doesn't like me using crutches so I have difficulty manipulating the camera - I drop it more often than not! Maybe I should try again sometime soon...

Thanks for all the well wishes - I really appreciate them. ♥♥♥

maegi

Hi catslave, sorry, my English isn't good enough, but we will tell you that we're thinking on you and your kitties every day and hope you all are well. Hughs, Jimmy and Maegi

Pammi

Hi catslave, just checking in to see how you are going. I do hope life is getting easier for you. It has been a long hard slog for you and if you are not posting pics of your gorgeous trio, I have to assume that maybe you still have a way to go. Rest assured, all your Jigidi mates are still thinking about you. Wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all better but can only send my best wishes to you and the kitties and fingers crossed that you are on the mend. ☺☺

gemstone

I just finished "catching up" on your kitties...now to do a bit of jigging! ☺☺☺

I didn't read all the comments but just enough to discover that you've been in pain. I hope that is all easing now and you can gradually ease off the pain killers. Are you still planning to return to work at the end of the month? I don't know what work you do but I hope there's a balance of sitting and standing and moving. And the kitties are going to miss having you home...or will they finally get ALL the bed to themselves? LOL Take care. Faye ❤❤❤...and one more for you! ❤ ;)

My niece told me about these bananas from Amazon, my cats went bonkers over them. Don't know whats in them but my babies sure do love them.

Mrs_Quinn_Eskimo

Ash - this looks like a wonderful toy I really have enjoyed you playing with it. catslave - is this filled with catnip?

Carol66

Ash, you tell your Mum your banana pictures are superb............we know you love your banana!
