pineapple juice? Hmmmm, not bad at all

Unfortunately, Kate, I'm getting tired of lemonade--why can't life hand me pineapples for a change?! :-)

Now I can understand you and you are right. The dog wasn't trying to 'eat' his new housemate. He just wanted to have 'a taste'. Nothing wrong with that.

Sir!!!! You are Hedgehogs - pdev is lemonade. Oceans apart (both l and f speaking). And about the situation. I think things may be a bit exaggerated. The note isn't in Puppy's paw-writing. Puppy may have been completely misunderstood and was only wanting to be "friendly". I think Hedgehog is extremely unkind and were I Puppy, I'd look for a home where "Best Friends" don't bring in such UnFriendly beasts - beasts that even LOL.
