Nudibranchs are soft-bodied, marine gastropod mollusks which shed their shells after their larval stage. They are often referred to as "sea slugs." But, they are noted for their extraordinary colors and striking forms.
There are more than 3,000 described species of nudibranchs, living at virtually all depths of salt water. They can be found in seas worldwide, including both the tropics and Antarctica.

They, like so many other sea creatures, are so much more colorful in the warmer waters!
Thanks, PJ!

Jan, fantastic forms and colors of these nudibranches, great puzzle. The nudibranches in the North Atlantic are less colorful, with dull colors,

Jan, how great to see these. I'm glad this theme week came up so you could show us again what beautiful and unusual creatures are under the sea. Thank you, dear friend.
