Oh, yes, Gnt, I've noticed that Berrien Co. had been hit hard, but is usually is. My son lived in South Bend, IN for a while and got quite a bit of snow. My daughter-in-law got a second degree at Andrews Univ. in Berrien Springs.
don't know what part of Michigan U live in Rose but there is about a foot of snow in my part of the southwest corner of Michigan...maybe even more out there
We went to our daughter's yesterday and it was a great opportunity to get some fresh photos. I took these out the car window as my husband was driving.
PLG, interesting about the life in Texas. A teacher friend here in MI lived in Texas for a short while and never, never wants to live that far south again.
Texasstar, I wanted to retire to Marquette, MI, which is very far north in the Upper Peninsula of MI on Lake Superior. No "snowbird" travels to southern states for me in the winter! ; )
Chickiemama that combination is my favorite winter scene. Once a long time ago I wanted a centerpiece for my Thanksgiving table. The florist put together rusty colored mums, white mums and evergreens. It was beautiful and transitioned into the Christmas nicely.
Well, maybe I should join you folks. Every year, the summers here get worse and worse, and we almost have no winter at all. I'd love to be in some really cold, snowy climate. Funny, most old people want to go where it's warm! Thanks for the jig, Roseheather.
