I've only ever passed through the Brecons. I don't remember it well as it was a long time ago, heading off somewhere. I think the Black Mountains are in that region. I'll have to look and see what photos there are of Brecon Cathedral and put them on. Thanks Phyllis...Sue

I loved the stay we had in Brecon, I have a nephew there, he's due back in NZ the week after next to see his parents. He really enjoys living there as well. I don't remember seeing the Canal and The South Wales Borderers Museum is there too. The barracks in Brecon is the home of the Army's Welsh headquarters. In 1969 two of the regiments of Wales, the South Wales Borderers and the Welch regiment were amalgamated to form The Royal Regiment of Wales. They are based at Brecon originally the base of the South Wales Borderers. The Brecon Cathedral is lovely too.

Joyce, I would so love a canal cruise one day and what a place to live. I bet there's a few seats in those gardens to sit and watch the goings on on the canal. Thank you for the links I will have a look. We had a sprinkle of snow the other day but it didn't last. Thanks again Joyce...Sue
