This is a beautiful painting. He was a very talented man.

Thomas Kinkade was an extremely spiritual, religious (perhaps troubled); but EXCEPTIONAL,-- "ONE OF A KIND" ARTIST! I am simply one that enjoys his works. He's a loss to the art world and to millions of others. It is my understanding that he "accidentally" overdosed, causing his death.
I'll have to research the reason he adopted his famous pen name. Thanks for stopping by.

"Many questions are asked about Thomas Kinkade painting under the name Robert Girrard. Thomas Kinkade is famous for his cottage, mountain, and seascape scenes. However, from 1984 to 1989, Thom wanted to experiment with French impressionistic style painting and knowing that this style deviated heavily from his traditional works, Thom did not want to risk tarnishing his name in case his French impressionistic works turned out to be a failure. Hence, he chose to publish his new style under the name Robert Girrard. Little did Thomas Kinkade realize that his French impressionistic style would turn out to be a tremendous success despite the differences from his traditional style. Very few artists are talented as Thom is, in two completely different painting styles." (Verbatim from the Internet)

WHAT WAS HIS REASON FOR PAINTING UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME? WAS IT BEFORE HE BECAME FAMOUS AS KINKADE? OR, DID HE CHANGE AFTER HE "SULLIED" THE NAME KINKADE AND DISAPPOINTED MILLIONS OF HIS ADORING FANS? I WAS ONE OF THEM.
