This photo was taken in the 60's when the 3 of us went on a working holiday to Canada and the USA. First stop Florida where we disembarked and took a Greyhound Bus to Toronto. I was away for a total of 6 years although I only intended to be away for 12 months!

Chookies: "I want to get a picture of us three, so I can put it on Jigidi when the internet gets developed."

Goodevening Chook, I just see I made a wrong translation, I used attitide, I mean carriage, posture. Sorry for doing wrong.

We were certainly care-free, rob - I mean, just have a look where we're perched!! Reminds me of the movie 'Titanic'.....and what made you pick me, shirley?

shirley68

I picked you, chookies, before I read the comments, You do have some wonderful memories.

robryan

I love it chookie!! You look so care-free & happy! Thanks.

chookies

Ha,ha - trust old Robbos!!

texasstar7

And the hairdo comment. Nice shoes, too!

jacquescamus

morris186

I took Anks advice and looked at the snow picture. Also Robbos gave it away with the look at those legs comment!

chookies

Yeh, go to the top of the class, morris!! How did you guess?

snooker

Think so, morris. The little one on the left.

morris186

you're the Blond, right?

chookies

I do remember spending a few sleepness nights on the bus, punkin, but we had a well planned itinerary and we did get off and on at certain places of interest.

pumpkinhead

What an experience! Thanks for sharing this photo with us. A bus ride from Florida to Toronto....must have taken forever!

chookies

You're welcome, gracie:) It seems as if it was only yesterday.

Graciela

I absolutely love this picture chookies, I can imagine how many beautiful memories this brings to you. Thanks for posting it!!

chookies

No, not in the middle, Celeste!

CelesteH

Ok taking a wild guess.
Your the one in the middle? :)

puzzeljac

I like the photo but I like the comments too. You don't want to tell who you are. But it's not difficult. Just look good to the other photos. Not with the shovel but the other two. It's really not difficult to see. Attitude belied never. Have a beautiful day my dear.

chookies

Great to see you, tex, but I'm not saying either!

texasstar7

I know exactly which one you are, but I'm certainly not telling! (Clue: She's the one on the right or left...wait, or is she in the middle?)

Back in those days, chickie, it was called 'working holidays' and that is exactly what I did. I worked 2 jobs, finished one at 5pm, raced off to start my second job at 6pm - five days a week. Bought myself a little green VW and toured every part of Canada and the USA for 9 months before sailing back home via England.

It's a pity you didn't do the same here in Australia, chickie, because you would still remember the sights you saw, the friends you made, the places you went, even to this day.....just like I do!

chookies

Quiet there, Robbos, you don't even know yourself!! You'd only be guessing anyway!!

Robbos

Fessing up, Ha! Ha! That will never happen, Chickie.

chickiemama

Wow chookies. What a fun adventure. I was seriously thinking about going to Australia to work in the 60's. They were advertising in the local papers that they would pay your way there if you went there for a year to work. Isn't that something? OK, fess up! Which one is you?

chookies

We organised many stop-overs along the way, ringleader, that way we were able to see a great deal of your wonderful country. I remember seeing President Kennedy's gravesite, which was just a mound of dirt surrounded by a little white picket fence, as he had only been buried a few weeks prior. That image will always stick in my mind.

Robbos

The one with the great hairdo.

chookies

You haven't even worked out which one is me yet, Robbos!!

Robbos

Wow! Look at those legs:)

ringleader

One can tell it's not a recent picture, you are all wearing skirts!!! Which one is you? Lovely picture. That was one long bus trip although you probably got to see more of the USA that way.. Thanks for sharing.

patsquire

Wow, Chookster, you turned a trek into an Odyssey. How odd!

Fidget

Cute picture! Looks like an ad from a magazine.
