Mandy, what a wonderful story. Yes, I see why you want to give a chicken party in their honor. Is this a yearly event. I could imagine lots of people coming to celebrate the chickens - just waiting for the store advertisement, and the newspaper healines...... No?

Loved this! Our head rooster, Eric, looks a lot like this guy except Eric has a lot more of the emerald coloring on his tail feathers. We also have two Buff Orpingtons, Lucy and Ethel, so this puzzle was a family affair.

Weren't the little ones a little to little to be allow to a grown up party? LOL

Yup, I took the chickens for a quick spin Kirsten, to give them that extra special something to remember!!! Its such a silly story - and could have been so much worse!!

Yippee! Thanks for sharing the story Mandy. I'm thinking that maybe you have big puppy dog eyes, that the store could not resist!! And you never really want to hear stories of what people find in their food. Shudder! Although yours, thankfully, was fairly tame. Whew!!

And now that I see this one, I'm thinking you DID kaleido it for yesterdays puzzle. The chicken wire gives it away!

Oh, Kirsten, since you asked so nicely, and said the "magic" word - I guess I'd better tell you... I bought some chicken breasts that had a piece of hard plastic inside... don't ask how!!! So I returned it to the store, and was surprised to be given a full refund... AND a replacement pack of chicken. I was laughing with Wendy about it and she told me I should say thank you to the chickens... so I threw them a party!!! LOL!!!
