Among the treasures Santa left in my stocking was this box of Ticonderoga #2 pencils. All sharpened!
Life is good.

It used to be an American made, but because of so many imitations, you know how things are these days, one has to be careful in buying the right one.

I checked out the Mongol pencils, Lunie. They get very good reviews! :)

Dilubreuer

The best so far is Mongol Suzy for technical use there is Staedler.

The best kind of gift! You lucky girl!

Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas, Toto. One never knows what treasure will be hidden in the vast spaces of the stocking! :)
I'll bet you look FABULOUS in your pearl necklace, Lyndee! John is quite thoughtful!!
Theraputic!!! THAT'S the word, Nicky!!! When I was teaching (and the district spent $$ on GOOD Ticonderoga pencils), it was therapeutic every August, to open the box of "materials and supplies" that had been ordered and find that box of Ticonderoga #2 pencils. It meant I was ready for another year!
What is the brand of pencil you use, Lunie? There must be a favorite one!
Today may be the day I open the box and take one of the Ticonderoga #2's out, treker. A day of great excitement!!!
The simple pleasures, Barb!! :)
They will , for sure, Lorna, unless I become frivolous with them and have a few days of doodling!

goingsilver

They should keep you going for a while Suzy!

SunnyBarb25

What a great gift, Suzy! No wonder you are so happy.... :)

treker

Used 'em as a kid, and still using Ticonderoga #2's!!!! (It was the ONLY pencil brand at my parent's home when growing up and the only brand in our home for 51 years.) Niccolino and Dilubreuer must live outside the USA. ;-)

Dilubreuer

We don't have those brands around here Suzy!

niccolino59

Oh I love new pencils! There is something kind of therapeutic about having a brand new pencil - like opening a new bar of soap! Like you, I seem to keep the same ones for several years so it's a real treat to get a new one occasionally. I've never heard of this brand, but they sure look good.

lyndee

You're so lucky Pumpkin........all I got was a pearl necklace!!!! LOL

Toto

What a wonderful gift . . I just pointed it out to Jack, maybe he'll remember next year.

Since I retired from teaching, Willy, I am amazed at how few pencils and pens I need. I can keep the same pen in my purse for years! :) But it was time for some brand, spanking new Ticonderoga #2"s!
Great minds, Ardy! :)
Poor Jim listened to me grumble and complain about the pencils our local district ordered (3 years ago when I subbed all year). The pencils were awful. The points fell out when you sharpened them...OR they wouldn't sharpen. Worthless pencils!!! The only REAL pencils are these. :) And Jim remembered!!! What a guy!

Shian2

Someone was very thoughtful, can't be without a pencil, Thanks ,Suzy.

ringleader

I have a package of pencils that I was going to get out and photograph. Now I don't have to find them!!! Thanks, Suzy.

ladywil2
