Yup, Don is right, definitely a yellow-rumped warbler. They probably nest in your area, Patti, and on North into Canada!

I make it a Myrtle Warbler, now called a Yellow-Rumped Warbler:

It doesn't have the solid black collar below the throat, but the yellow splash on the side, and the stripe over the eye, are pretty definitive. It's also one of the earliest migrating warblers, so you'd expect to see it about now.
