Thank you, Nana and Jack. Glad you liked it. Mimi...wow, a little piece of your history. Thank you for sharing that! Being that I am not from St Louis originally, I can't really figure out what the park is that you're talking about. I am from northern New Jersey, just outside NYC. Anyway, I have grown to love little, unimposing St Louis, with all it's charm and diversity.
Laura, I went to my first year of College in St. Louis at the old Maryville College in Dutchtown. That was a long time ago, 1952. A few years ago I visited the area and the school was gone, moved to one of the suburbs. I loved that huge, wonderful park, and we even saw Frankie Laine at that big hotel near the Park. It was a fun year. I saw snow for the first time. I stupidly can't remember any names, the Park, hotel etc. Sorry!
nice brasserie Laura!
Great photo, Laurajane! Thanks!
