It's not a xylophone. I've never used mallets on choir chimes so I'm not really sure. I do know the "rung" notes are chimes.

bookish

Thanks. Had originally thought of some xylophone then thought not.

ringleader

We won't sound anything like that Francine!!! But thanks for the link. This is a very simple arrangement using only 8 bells. I'm not sure what the non-stop bells really are. They sound more like choir chimes placed on the tables and being played with a mallet The sounds that are the melody are definitely choir chimes - metal tubes of varying lengths with a clapper and played like a bell.

Ardy, that'll be a great one, very pretty. The version I found on YT seems fast with non-stop bells. You'll all have to be very alert.
Thanks for letting me know. You must be very busy with the practicing.

ringleader

I found an arrangement of "Ding, Dong, Merrily On High" for 8 bells which will be divided among 5 ringers. Hope our music director approves. It's a very simple arrangement and very short!!! This means i'll also be ringing.

bookish

Ardy, what music did you chose for Dec. 22nd?

ringleader

HI Francine. Glad you had a chance to enjoy my November-December roses. Thanks for dropping by.

bookish

How cheerful. Thanks for sharing this with us, Ardy.

Robbie, thanks for coming by. It's a small rose named Pinocchio. It doesn't have much odor but is very prolific. This bush is well over 50 years old.

Robbiel

That is a wonderful picture Ardy, we have some plants similar to this blooming as well, but I am surprised to see it blooming there, how lucky you are, thanks.

Ank, don't stop asking for dates for your own use or pleasure. If others want to know I guess they could do like I've done. When I see something I want to remember I have paper by the computer and I make a note. I have an alphabetical list of profile names with real names and I make notes there. When I got too many notes I revise and reprint the list. If we put something on a public puzzle it's public. I just don't like the idea of publishing a list.

ringleader

Right on that assumption, Kirsten. Thank YOU. And thanks for the hugs.

puzzeljac

Okay Ardy, I promiss I will not do thing you don't want. It's just I was asking for dates an than a few friends asked me to make it public. Then this idea came up. In the first place it wasn't planned like this. So now I stopped asking dates, I have to think about it too.

Oooh! Since this photo was taken last week, I deduce that it may have been taken with a digitial camera? Yes? It is beautifully composed Ardy, and a lovely rose!! Thanks!! And ((HUGS))

ringleader

Thanks, Pat. I have three rose bushes and they are all still blooming. It's been beautiful again today.

pkin38

Love it, so beautiful and at this time of year is even better.

ringleader

Ank, If it makes you feel any better my time on my puzzle was 2:07.

I could try to send some nice weather your way but I really don't want yours in return. I sent some cool weather to Australia and got warm weather in return. Today again around 70. Don't even need a jacket outside.

I read what you said about the birthdays. I had given my date to only two other people and almost didn't give it to you. I didn't give it when you asked before. Let me think about it for awhile. I'll get back to you.

ringleader

Hi Wendy. I was standing beside a retaining wall and the rose bush is planted on the upper level. I just had to bend my knees a little. I have been known to get flat on the ground to get a picture though. This rose was here when I moved here in 1960. Glad you enjoyed it.

puzzeljac

O, I thought I made a bad time 1:46, but I see it can worse. Ardy I hope you did read my answer abouth the birthdays.
I love this photo, can you send some nice weather over the ocean?

Wendy_13

Ardy, this is so PRETTY! Were you lying on your back while you took this picture? LOL!

ringleader

Hanne, You are very welcome. Good to see you today.

ringleader

Pat, There are more buds opening. I was looking this morning. Yesterday was up in the 70's. There have been blooms other years up until almost Christmas. We had a light frost a couple of nights ago but it hasn't seemed to affect them. Thanks for coming by and for your comment.

ringleader

Jan, They are still blooming today, Our weather has turned warm again today. My time was 2:07. I left the board looong ago. Thank you. I'm glad you like it so much.

Elfie

WOW, it's pretty!! Thanks so very much Ardy!!

pdevredis

Oh, you're lucky, Ardy! Our last few roses are still on the bush, too, but they never got to unfurl--the weather caught them just before they could. But other years we have had them bloom for Thanksgiving, something I've always loved seeing!

JiggyBelle

Ardy - No way is this november in Maryland! LOL This is so beautifully composed. What a fabulous photograph. I LOVE this puzzle. I love it so much, I dawdled through it to the tune of 1:55.
It's just cheerful thinking you got to see this and we have perennial grey skies! :D

ringleader

This is Maryland, USA the end of November.
