Sissel, I want to wish you and yours and very Merry Christmas and thank you for all the fun that we've shared here. My mother tongue is English so,

Merry Christmas! from Michelle, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

but I speak some French too so, Joyeux Noël!

but I live in one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world (if not the most). We have friends and have worked with people whose families have come from all over the world. We have heard Merry Christmas in a variety of languages! Here are a few from just our friends...

Indonesian: Selamat Hari Natal
Irish: Nollaig Shona Dhuit
Dutch: Well, Ank has got that covered and she knows that my best friend's family is Dutch so I'll leave that to her!
Russian: Pozdrevlyayu s prazdnikom Rozhdestva is Novim Godom
Czech: Prejeme Vam Vesele Vanoce a stastny Novy Rok
Italian: Buone Feste Natalizie
Gaelic: Nollaig chridheil agus Bliadhna mhath ùr
Greek: Kala Christouyenna
Portuguese: Feliz Natal (includes the Brazilian friends)
Japanese: Merii Kurisumasu
Cantonese: Gun Tso Sun Tan'Gung Haw Sun
Mandarin: Sheng Dan Kuai Le
German: Fröhliche Weihnachten
Tagalog: Maligayamg Pasko
Farsi: Cristmas-e-shoma mobarak bashad
Swahili: Kuwa na Krismasi njema
Hindi: Subh Krsmas
Hebrew: Khag Same'ach (Happy Holiday)
Ojibwe: Niibaa' anami'egiizhigad
Gujarati: Natal ni shub kaamnao & Saal Mubarak
(Uruguay: Spanish, as below...)
Afrikaans: as below...

Phew...until I made a list of our family's friends, I didn't quite realize that there were so many different languages and I'm sure I'm overlooking some!
