Monica, that is what we thought, too. Had it a long time before dad got sprayed, but the poor thing never got a chance to spray twice. Gemstone is right, even with their scent glands removed, they still have a musky aroma about them. And we kids thought it was funny, too. I remember it wasn't just the smell, my dad said it burned his eyes.
I thought once they were de-stinked that they couldn't spray any more! That's really weird! Your poor dad! L.O.L. Sorry, don't mean to laugh but it is kinda funny!
We had a pet skunk when I was a kid in a great big cage. It had been de-stinked. We kids thought it was great. One day my dad made him mad and it sprayed him, end of story.
