It sure did :-)

Caught your eye, didn't it?

Brie1648

no, even being retired I like the way it is because if you have a bad day it would be awful (but a good day would be great!)

starlord

Sounds good Brie.
Especially when one is retired

Brie1648

Maybe this is an attempt by the European Union as a first step towards the 'Metric Week' - 10 days a week, hundred hours in a day!

starlord

That explains a lot, Nikkihw... Thanks for letting us know :-)
So they raised the price of the products with almost a whole cent?

This is one of the logos of the 99-Cent-Only store, a deep discount chain in California, Nevada, and parts of Texas. All goods are actually 99.99 cents now, though [the recession, you know. :) ].

starlord

Christmas off? Surely not... :-)

aggie

Wouldn't want to work here starlord :o)) hopefully they get Christmas off.

starlord

Someone surely did :-)

pkin38

Somebody goofed.....

starlord

lol Major D. I like that. Working for 9 days and then have 90 mins off :-)
Good thing I've retired.
That could be a possibility Squish, an upside down number :-)

squishy2

Maybe the signwriter put the number on upside down. Or - could be another planet where a week is longer.... Or, (since the number of days in a week is a social construct anyway,) then in this place, they've reinvented the "week". Or - ......

MajorDon

perhaps a week is how long you make it - maybe the staff work a 9 day week, have 90 minutes off and back for another 9 days - like our corner shop. Then you only need pay them 7/9ths.

starlord

The Beatles sang '8 days a week'. They wanted to do better with '9 days' :-)

ulangariver

A marketing ploy? Or perhaps this is for people who don't get time during the normal seven days.
