The spire of the Cathedral towers over the rooftops all round the city. St Ann's gate dates from the 14th century. A room above the gate was the venue for composer George Frederick Handel's first performance in England.

Glad you think so Ank. They seemed to be a tourist group. The gate is in the city wall and is a way to the Cathedral I think.

It is an amazing thought Beekay! Thanks.

Just imagine, 14th century! And how many people have passed through that gate during all those many years!

puzzeljac

Just beautiful. There are lots of people going through that gate. Just tourists or is there something special at the other side?
