This house is called a 'Sumperak', because the architect is from Sumperk, CZ. There are more than 2000 of these houses in Czech Republic. They were very popular, because nice and cheap.
i don't know when they were built but i wouldn't mind owning one, although it does look like it might be larger than i need. it looks timeless and if oriented on a lot correctly, could even offer passive solar benefits. i think i'll google to see if there are any interior shots. thanks!!
