Wonderful rehab after the damage. It looks like the three end units are condo's? Coming back after being devestated is so hard. I'm glad to see that some communities do survive.

Thanks, cevas. And inside the contractor did a great job making it look as original as possible. He installed replica metal ceiling tiles and I had to ask if they were original. I was impressed!

What an interesting old building! I think you are right, JC. They probably chose the slightly different color on purpose.

I have thought about the different color bricks and believe they are deliberately a different color. Because if I was a contractor, I could get bricks to match nealy perfectly. But if I wanted to make sure no one would ever forget, I would make a slight color variation.
Or I could be overthinking it and be totally wrong!

This building suffered serious damage in the May 4, 2003, tornado in Pierce City, MO. Fortunately, they were able to save this building.
If you look carefully, you will see diffferent colored bricks where the repairs were made, mostly along the top. Look first at the corner on the right. Notice how the color changes about a third of the way up.
