This historically historical photo has just come to light......
Pictured are my dear pater and Dobbiel's pater, standing in front of the long since vanished Rebmuda train, which ran from 1931 to 1948.........
May she rest in peace......

look out for those plectrums. Got one belonging to my son in the washing machine one day and it cost a fair bit of money for the damage it caused. Came out as a bit of mangled plastic, funny thing the engineer was a singer/guitarist only he would have recognized what it was

lelabugosi

Oh yes....the Christmas Tree........"It's ALIVE!!".........

david06520

ooop I plum forgot about his knives and not to mention his many companion birds of prey and more than one sharp pointy plant and don't forget his Christmas Tree with violent tendencies

gemstone

Careful, david...you carry guitar picks while Robbie carries cleavers! :)))

Yes. Mr.Numbers, the Bonga-Bonga Ant Disasters of Bugosiland South (B.A.D. BUG. S.) are forever etched (or squarshed) in our minds _.._ _.. _ .. ergo ad hoc simulacrum veridicus........

david06520

PS Them's Fightin Words Nobody But Nobody Calls Me Davy (except for one old music teacher of mine, who couldn't call me by any other name but Davy-My-Boy).

david06520

PSquiddy you have certainly forgotten all about the Bonga-Bonga Ant Disasters of Bugosiland South (B.A.D. BUG. S.), since which time Lelabugs and Yours Truely have continuously posted eternal heart-felt memorials to the dead-ant, dead-ants, thusly:
... . . .. . .
Some of the ants were squarshed underfeet, and these are memorialised thusly:
_.._ _.. _ ..
A few of the ants were those strange flying ant-type bugs, and they are commmemmmorated thus:
' '' ' ' '
I hope this has cleared up every possible confusion.

Do look forward to see what you find out!!

Tatinha

Deal. Send me the photos then.

lelabugosi

I believe Hippolytus knows all about rashes and itches.......as for payment, you can have loads of free stuff from the old Bugosilogues that nobody else wanted.......I think that would be very fair......
And, Mr.Pinky-Squirt........you are most definitely INSANE BEYOND WORDS!......

Tatinha

As I'm alergic to shoes I suppose I'm alergic to shoe boxes. I ve been thinking how many other photos Lela kept in his shoes before!
Unless I'll receive a good money for it and a treatement for rashes and itches!!

patsquire

Davidmileandaquarter, or david-many-numbers, or the various variety of variations on variables like this, are Too Long For Compulingoists, so from now on it's just Davyzip.

Got it? - - - - - Davyzip.

And now, Davyzip, all this long, confusing time, have you been esoterically communicizing thusly?

Hanne-with-pipe....I made a mistake - it was 1902......puzzle coming up.......
Mad-as-a-March-hare.......I looked, but I didn't touch.......(whoever you are, I know you're not who you say you are.........).
Fear not, Juneee.........I smell a rat before it bites.......
Tatty-from-Brazil.......Are you ok with shoe-boxes?.......

juneshone

you are welcome to the job Tatinha. No shoes necessary

Tatinha

I was a secretary long years ago , 15, so I could offer myself to organize Lela's files and scan some photos. The problem is I'm alergic to shoes. Thanks to God, I just need flip flops.

juneshone

don't look Lela it's those things that begin with P and not the squirty kind

Elfie

Sorry Lela you are 50 years too early!! But it IS very interesting!! I would certainly like to hear more. Perhaps they must re-write the story of the railway.....!

juneshone

me a secretary! Do me a favour, been there done that almost died of boredom then I sloped off to become a bus conductress

lelabugosi

Tweedleplum and tweedleda................I understand.............

David, please take two aspirin and lie down until I feel better.

lelabugosi

Yes david-many-numbers......the sandals.......of course.....
Hanne-still-smoking.......I have just done a little research on your old railway, and may possibly have come across a very old photo of the Swedish Bugosi stonemasons, who helped build it in the 1850's.....I will check tomorrow to make sure it is authentic.....

david06520

If you want those old shoe-box photos to be digitized you should maybe use the box from the sandals instead...

Elfie

So sorry, Lela, I'm sure you are right, the glows from my pipe might make great damage!! But yet it would be a wonderful idea. I do like that railway story very much, we had a railway too on Bornholm but it was a bit longer 57 miles. It closed many years ago too!! Very sad indeed!! It ran very close to us!!

lelabugosi

Trouble is, precious-pebble, Juneee also as well has a hectic social life, what with lunches, clog-dances, Oscar ceremonies, etc.etc........I would ask Hanne-with-pipe, but I think she could be a fire hazard.......as for Dogdaze, the main problem is that he pees in my shoes, so many of the old photos are very wet.........though not likely to catch fire......

gemstone

Maybe you should hire a secretary, lela, to organize your paper files in a proper filing cabinet and digitize them all for easy access and transmission. Perhaps juneeee is available as she doesn't seem to have any daring escapades or government scandals to report on at present. And then you wouldn't lose any important historical documents...just shoes...with Dogdaze around.

lelabugosi

You're welcome Bubba.......I love it when these historical documents come to light, to spread true knowledge in a perplexed world........I had kept this photo inside an old shoe, as my shoeboxes are all full, and the photo you posted today led me to search for it (hee-hee!).......

Robbiel

Lela you are truly the master of masters at digging up historical events and stuff!! Bermuda's railway was the shortest in the world at 21.7 miles long and the most expensive to build and operate. They say in today's money it cost 2 million dollars per mile to build!! In 1948 it was sent to British Guiana (now Guyana) where it operated into the late 50s. Someone said it was still going after that but I don't know for sure.
I bet my Grandfather was somewhere close by, hey maybe we are cousins??!! Your dad looks quite dapper there and look at my mate Dobbie's dad!! Quite a historical moment.
I hope your brain has eased up a bit Squire, what a shame to confuse you like that!!
That was fast work Lela, well done and thanks for the find.

Dobbiel

Hellooeee Squirty!
The long-short-distance train was Rebmuda's long-distance train, which only went a short distance as the island is so small.......Quite simple really......

patsquire

Whew! I was S0000000 confused!

Ach! But no! My brain still hurts . . . what is a long-short-distance train????? Huh??? What???

Oh man, Bonga-Bonga's a weird place.

lelabugosi

Mr.Pinky........As I said, pictured are my pater and Dobbiel's pater (who was a chef on the long-short-distance train)........

patsquire

Wait! If that's Dobbiel standing there in chef's toque and jacket, then does that mean that the distinguished older gentleman on the left is the FATHER of BOTH lelabug AND Dobbiel? Because WAIT! I'm easily confused by "family things" that happened before DNA testing!

lelabugosi

Oh yes.....should read 'pieces'!.......Thank you, precious-pebble........

gemstone

Is that peace or pieces?
