I agree with you about turning an animal into a kaleido. I wouldn't do it. I just thought of the pattern of the fur like the leopard spots or zebra stipes for example, independently from the animal. I really don't like distorsions of living creatures, humans or animals, which is why I hate Picasso (apart from his early paintings) or even worse for me Francis Bacon. I once saw an exhibition of his works in the Tate Galery and it really made me sick!
I know it's silly, but I'm always a little squeamish about animals being kaleido'd. I refer to my kaleidoscope maker as "the blender" - and the thought of putting an animal into a blender? Eeek! LOL
Thanks, Kirsten and calendargirl. I had a lot of doubts about this one because it has very little colour. But I liked its pattern. It has nothing to do with lace originally. It was made from a picture of one of the pannels of an exhibition but I felt it did look like lace when finished. I would never have thought it looked like a leopard while solving it, Kirsten!!!. But this is a great idea. Why not make a kaleido out of a picture of an animal's fur?
Oooh, Alarmingly this one looked a little Leopard or Jaguar like while solving, Danielle! I kept having to tell myself it was lace! LOL Thanks for the fun puzzle! (•‿•)
