Thank you for the picture and puzzle, and some of WWII history
The B-17 is such a part of our history, I really enjoyed seeing it. One cannot discuss WW II without discussing the influence of the B-17 on its outcome. Thanks for the info on the yellow paint tips, I didn't realize the yellow actually had a purpose other than good looks.
Good looking B-17, looks like the #1 engine has the cowl flaps open & the Speed ring off. By the way, the yellow paint on the prop tips is on there to keep that black paint from sliding off, which would seriously dirty up the prop wash.
