"Kids are plugged into some sort of electronic medium 44 hours per week." --Richard LouvThanks Lyndee.
Thanks bluebird. Kids don't seem to spend much time outside anymore which is a total shame.
I don't think kids need such bright colors every second of every day. Well, maybe today's kids do because everything is geared to bright and garish for kids. I agree with Lyndee. I'd spend hours in it now as an adult except I don't think I'd fit. But even today I've seen kids oooh and aaah over the bright colored truck and then spend hours playing in the cardboard box it came in. Honest! In any case, it's a great photo and fun puzzle. Thanks Lyndee.
Everything has changed Chookies....I don't know how we lived to tell about it!!!! LOL
All our playgrounds are made of heavy bright colored plastic tubing these days and shade cloth sails cover the playground to prevent the child getting sunburnt and also for added coolness. The thick rubber flooring prevents the child from hurting themselves in case they fall. Everything is covered for Occupational Health and Safety reasons and stops parents from suing the Council for negligence. How playgrounds have changed over the years.
I would have died for a playground like this to play when I was a kid!
I think that's the problem - needs some bright color!
Kids need lively colors Lyndee, that's why nobody is there
Nice but looks a little dreary for the kids..
florrie, it looks like its for grey people - aliens or oldies. Or maybe its waiting to be painted in bright colours?
I'll come and play with you, lyndee! We'llhave to get past the high-security fencing first, though!!
Probably, if it's in the UK, its been closed by Health & Safety for being Hazardous!
Kids have the lot these days - and playing outside seems to be way down the list Lyndee!!
Probably involved with the electronic gadgets. We witnessed a 2 year old that didn't want to give his mom her phone!
Well, I want to play there! Of course I need supervision, too.
Maybe if they put in Wi-Fi?
I wonder why it would be empty? I looks like a great playground!
I don't believe the fault here is with the children. This is a playground for younger kids who need parental supervision. If they aren't here, it's more likely because the parents or other caretakers didn't take them. Nevertheless, it is a nice playground.
