Shipping Containers...

I don't think ever I have ever seen the terminal ever this busy... they had so many containers there. It is neat to see how they fill them. They put 3 2X4 across the back then cardboard up about 2 ft from the top. Then fill with grain. Thanks Gene for stopping by.

I was chatting to a guy this week who sails, and he said the thing that scares him the most is running into a floating container at night when he is at sea - he says there is no way to see them and hitting one would sink his yacht if he didn't go very very slowly. I had never thought about what happens to these if and when they fall off the ships. I suggested they should all have luminous paint put on all the edges, just in case!!! I hope you don't lose any of these to rough weather Pat :~)

You know It might be... They fill these then take the to Rickenbacher Air base to transport.
