Good to hear from you, Robbie. I've had Penderyn each time I've been to Wales - expensive, but worth it! Did you know that it's named for Dic Penderyn, a Welsh miner martyred in the Merthyr Uprising in 1831? To this day he's regarded as a hero. If I remember correctly, the whiskey is distilled in Brecon - as you say, Mid-Wales - and has been since 2000 (which is when I first sampled it, I believe).Haven't had any for about 3 years now. I guess it's time for another trip to visit the family!
Thank You mate and a very Happy New Year to you and yours. Hope you had a good night, we did but a quiet one. I had a very smooth single malt this holiday called Penderyn which is produced in Mid Wales. Very nice indeed, do you know it?
Thank you, Rob, Michelle and Jacques. Out here on the left coast, we're just getting ready to get wild. Greetings to all from Vancouver Island and a toast to you all with a new - delicious - Scotch that I discovered today (Black Grouse)! :)
