Oh dear - it's all such a tight fit!
Lyndee, I appreciate your comment but I think I would rather be a Commodore or Admiral - just to get a bigger cabin! First Order of the Day - no Brussel Sprouts or pickled onions!
Well - I'd definitely prefer the top bunk - at least you'd have some breathing space there Lyndee!! I've seen prison cells on TV bigger than this!!!
Very interesting tour Lyndee. Thank you. I think I'll stop complaining about my little apartment. : )))
Welcome aboard Toto. I'm glad you enjoyed this tour. Living on a sub is hard to imagine.
And these are the spacious officer's quarters. My husband's father served on the USS Barbara during WWII and for the enlisted folks, life was all about a shared 'hot' bunk with fellow crew members. Am enjoying the tour, thanks, Lyndee.
I think you would have to be young, limber and trim to make it with these beds Smllpkg.LOL Snooker, I would hate to have any of those bunks!Cinderfire, I wonder how organized they actually were when they were out on a mission. We're talking about a bunch of men here. :)I suppose BK, if you are tired enough, you would take anything. When my husband was in the Navy, he said he would sometimes sleep on the steel deck.I think you would make a good captain Brie.
The only way I would get on here would be as the captain - I would hate to sleep like this...the snoring...the smells...no thank you. But it is so good to see inside a submarine that has been part of me since 1959!
I would hate to have the middle bunk!
They are so organized and compact in a submarine. Could teach me a thing about that. Thanks Lyndee ☺ :o)
Each one has their own little safe. Would hate to have that bottom bunk.
Kinda' compact, especially the bunks.
