"PG tips is in the business of putting the kettle on, sitting down with a lovely cuppa and having a chin wag. Sugar optional."
I brought this home from Scotland. It's sold in the UK. My favorite tea!

I drank Tetley over in Scotland. I think that's their most popular brand. It was good...but not very good, like PG Tips.

We're mostly coffee drinkers down here, but I would love to try some of this. You make it very appetizing.

I think I have seen these in the tea cupboard at church.

I learned about PG Tips from my son-in-law, who is English. It's definitely a standard item in my teapot!

Thank you for the comment, pumpkin. The monkey on the box is a sock monkey called...well, Monkey. He is part of their ad campaign.

Hey, PG...PG Tips is produced by Unilever...the owners of....drum roll, please....Lipton Tea. Wow. two completely different animals!

Isn't it the best? I have been drinking it for years, myself. Here is the premise behind the pyramid tea bags:
"The pyramid-shaped bag was designed to help the tea leaves move more freely, as loose tea moves in a teapot, and supposedly create a better infusion. One 2011 version of the product packaging makes the claim: 'The PG Tips pyramid tea bag gives the tea leaves 50% more room to move around than a flat conventional tea bag. So the tea bag works more like a miniature tea pot. This allows for all the freshness to be released for the best tasting cup of PG.'"
I knew there was a reason I liked it so much. How did you come to know about PG Tips, PG?

LJ I get this tea because I had Publex get it for me. they now stock it in their stores because everyone who tries it likes it. We don't have that character on the box but we have the tea. It is in a little semi-round tea bag not loose. I should post a photo of the tea box.
