Thank you for this puzzle. I LOVE Starlings.

I had her in to see the Vet today. Both she and her unborn foal are doing beautifully!

How's she feeling now? Still in good health? Do horses get high blood pressure???

We'll be on holiday then but I'll try to check your page for pictures! :)))

I have the book ''Arnie The Darling Starling''. It's delightful.

We are lucky enough to have seen these displays on a fairly regular basis about 2 miles down the road and it is quite spectacular . . . :D)

Hi, Heidi,
Just wondering how your Gypsy Vanner mare is doing...is she due at the beginning of May or the end?...Faye

Plumpossum

You are probably familiar with the book "Arnie the Darling Starling"?

Surreal_Heidi

Yes, they're voracious little birds, but that's a good thing. They're the only bird in North America that eats Japanese Beetles. You can't expect them to fit in perfectly with our ecosystem because they're an introduced species. Ant that's not their fault. They're just trying to survive.
One of the bonuses to them being an introduced species is that they're not protected as a native species. That means they can be kept as pets without a permit. Why would one do that, you ask? The starling is a close relative of the Mynah, and can be taught to talk!!!! They make friendly and fun pets.

Hi Heidi. Okay, I will agree with you. The starling is a very nice looking bird. I guess their piggishness at my feeders makes me not appreciate them as I should. Thanks for the gorgeous shot!
