Seldom seen due to their unique scent? Interesting looking though.

Nancy, do a quick search on either GOOGLE or BING for the plant's name: FRITILLARIA. That's what I did. Apparently they grow in many places and will keep away deer and rodents who do not like to eat them (they're said to have an unpleasant odor, some more than others...some even smell like dog droppings). So, it's recommended that you not plant them close to where you'll be sitting or passing by! They grow to about 5' tall on a single stem, according to the info I found and need good drainage. Hope this helps! Carole :)))

VERY INTERESTING FLOWERS,I WOULD LLIKE TO KNOW WHERE THEY GROW? LOOKS LIKE THE MOUNTIANS TO ME.

Glad to know that these gorgeous blooms are lurking in someone's garden! FInding things that will grow in the Texas weather has been a challenge for me (having grown up in the SF Bay Area of California). Glad you liked the puzzle, Janus. Carole :)))

Very pretty, but not uncommon at my house. Always try to have a couple of fritillaria lurking in the garden...Nice puzzle, thanks.
