Nancy, do a quick search on either GOOGLE or BING for the plant's name: FRITILLARIA. That's what I did. Apparently they grow in many places and will keep away deer and rodents who do not like to eat them (they're said to have an unpleasant odor, some more than others...some even smell like dog droppings). So, it's recommended that you not plant them close to where you'll be sitting or passing by! They grow to about 5' tall on a single stem, according to the info I found and need good drainage.
