Stevem we hunt here but it is a no kill hunt and we read about the discontinuation of the hunt in the UK. The farmers are up in arms about it and there is nothing to stop the little creatures from making a mess. I sent my wife to hunt for her birthday several years ago when it was a to ground hunt and she had a ball. I guess there is an over abundance of Jack Russell's there now.
thanks for the comments... The biggest thing I see here about the fox's is they tend to eat the young pheasents so our amount of birds is very low..but I still find them as a beautiful animal as i do for most animals
PG - ermm, I'm in the UK - we don't have 'sporting stores', and we certainly can't purchase what you describe... historically, foxes were controlled here by hunting (with horses and hounds) but that's now illegal - so the foxes are permitted to do what they like... and I think I'd better stop...
Stevem if you have a sporting store in your vicinity and you purchase some coyote urine it may help keep the foxes away. In my area the coyotes have eaten all the Red Fox and the only ones that can get away are the grays. It appears to work around the chicken houses but then you have other little critters that want some KFC for dinner. Nice painting gnt I almost forgot.
Not entirely sure I would agree - especially not when they've torn open my rubbish bag again! We have quite a problem here with urban foxes, who have totally lost any fear of humans they may originally have had!
