Why are you reporting this puzzle?

These are some kaleidos I made a while back from images of street art. I thought it would be fun to pop them back on a brick wall, like where they came from!

The brick wall image is free clipart from www.rgbstock.com and the kaleidoscopes are made from freely available images of street art. I used a variety of programs to make my kaleidoscopes, and the other elements of this puzzle.

It gives me immense pleasure making puzzles, and I hope it gives you pleasure solving them. (•‿•)

You're probably right. But I think I'm gonna stick with a mouse, unless I absolutely have to change - like you did! (❛ᴗ❛)

Figures

I used to use a mouse as I didn't like the touchpad either, but then it broke and I took so long getting round to replace it that I actually got used to the touchpad and don't mind it anymore. I think it's just getting used to new things that we find annoying sometimes. I have a feeling that if I now went back to a mouse after all this time, it would feel alien and annoying to me and I'd have to get used to it again which is why I haven't bothered lol

RandomWorship

I imagine it would be hard to draw with a mouse. I'm pretty sure Maddie does. But a stylus would probably be easier, as it would feel more like a pencil. And now I have something new that you do to marvel at. You use the touchpad? I can't bear using it, and am definitely a mouse gal! (❛ᴗ❛)

Oh my, if you struggle drawing stick men I have to agree that drawing may just not be for you lol. I find drawing soothing for sure. It's funny because drawing pencil to paper, I can find very calming, but trying to draw on my laptop is anything but. Even when I used to use an actual mouse and not just the mousepad like I use now, I just couldn't get the control or lines I wanted so I gave up trying to freehand draw and stuck to using templates and the tools provided for the most part. I do follow Madpol already, although I never seem to get the time to actually solve any of her designs unfortunately. But I like at least admiring what she adds. Thanks for the suggestions! :)

Honey - my "standard" of drawing is so low, it hasn't even made the bar to be called a standard! I can't even draw a straight line. Or stick figures! Nah. I know my limitations. And free-hand drawing is one of them! I "draw" best when I'm creating with a computer mouse! On a serious note I've heard others say that it's a soothing, calming thing to do too. I'm not sure if these folks do your style of drawing - but there's a couple of folks on Jigidi that I follow who create their art freehand. Maddie (madpol), Wim (wammetje) and Nina (artpuzzler). You might be interested in checking out their work. No pressure. It can be fun to just look. I always take an interest in folks who create their stuff from scratch, and do solve their stuff in the smaller sizes. (❛ᴗ❛)

Oh I still do draw sometimes, just not as often as I used to. It's usually my go to thing if I'm having a hard time dealing with things though so I'll never stop all together. You should give drawing a try yourself. Even if you don't think your standard of drawing is good enough, it's still fun and if you keep practising you could surprise yourself. There are many online tips, tricks and tutorials to help people with certain techniques which you could find useful too. :)

YOU CAN DRAW!! I'm SO jealous! Now that's REAL artistic skill. I hope you can find a way to keep drawing. That would be awesome. (❛ᴗ❛)

1800!!! It's a good job I stopped when I did yesterday or I'd of probably still been here in a week still going through your creations lol. Art is such a wonderful thing that can bring joy to so many people, whether it be through music, drawing, digital imagery or whatever else and it's lovely to hear you found a place to show off your art and creativity and that it makes you so happy! I've been drawing since I was about 14 I think. I don't really know why but if I ever had a piece of paper and a pen or pencil, I'd just draw without even thinking about it. It wasn't until I started doing caricatures of people and people started requesting them that I even realised not everyone found drawing natural lol. I was never very good with words or expressing myself and I was useless at school subjects so I'd just draw and it was pretty much the only thing that could keep me quiet and out of trouble for a while. Unfortunately, I don't always make as much time to sit down and draw now as I'd really like to but I still do now and again. Plus I have the laptop to do some digital art now too which I probably started doing around 5 years ago and I enjoy too, although it's definitely a lot more tricky and fiddly then just putting pencil to paper lol. I was actually considering buying a drawing tablet thing to mix the two together but they are quite expensive so I put it off, but maybe one day. Anyway, thanks for all your awesome designs that kept me entertained yestersday! Oh and yes I was late, but not by much and it wasn't important so meh haha :)

So glad you like this one, Lisa! The kaleidos were made from images of actual street art - so seemed perfect to "graffiti" a brick wall with. And I still remember adding the little messages like "kaleidos rule, OK?" That was such fun! And I HAVE been making puzzles for a while now. I started in 2012, with just kaleidos. And then a few years later branched out into other designs - first of all just using my kaleidos, and then later learning how to make other kinds of patterns and plaids. At a rough count, I've posted around 1800 different puzzles! And I love making them. I've never expressed myself creatively before I started making puzzles, and there is a sense of satisfaction and pleasure that it provides, that nothing else I have ever done before has ever provided. I reckon you might feel similarly. Although, perhaps pre-Jigidi, you were already making art? I'd love to know! And thanks for playing about in my archives, and finding some designs to love. Hope you weren't late for where you had to go too! (❛ᴗ❛)

How funky! I love all the colours and how bold the kaleidos are. I'm going to have to call it quits on looking through your back catalog now as I've already spent longer looking than I should of and I'm most likely going to be late for where I have to go but I was having too much fun lol. And I didn't even manage to get half way through all your creations. I didn't realise until I started going back through that you've been on Jigidi for 7 years and have sooo many. I really enjoyed seeing and solving at least some of your designs prior to me joining though Kirsten, so thanks and I look forward to many more to come! :)

Sounds like a good plan, Jenny!! (•‿•)

nuttsky

You are right, Kirsten - no consensus. So I'll let some critters in among the kaleidos once in a while but not usually.

RandomWorship

Thanks Jenny! I'm SO glad you like it. Thanks for letting me know, and for swinging by. (•‿•)

And I keep popping back to your latest puzzle, to see what the consensus was on your question. At this point, I'd say there is no consensus!!! LOL!

RandomWorship

That's SO funny, Nadine! The graffiti is all my own work. But the brick wall was free clip art!! So not of my making. I'm glad you liked my selection of it though! LOL!! (•‿•)

nuttsky

THAT. was a STUNNER.

retiredwizard

Oh my gosh Kirsten - sorry but I didn't even notice the kaleidos that everyone is raving about. My gaze went right to that gorgeous wall. The bricks, the sayings, just fantastic! Thanks a lot Kirsten. ♥

RandomWorship

LOL Leni! Good on you for getting into the spirit!! And I'm SO happy you enjoyed it. It was such a blast to make!! (•‿•)

lenird

_______^v^_______ Here too. You rock, baby along with your Kaleidos. ((HUGS))

dondi

Cute, cute, cute! And definitely an interesting puzzle.

RandomWorship

Thanks Sheena. That "pop" is brought to you by a drop shadow effect! My original plan was for the kaleidos to sit flat on the wall - like they had been painted on. But I can't resist the pop either!! So, a quick flick of the drop shadow switch later - ta dah! POP! LOL (•‿•)

sheenpeen

Love the way the kaleidos really pop on the wall, particularly love the one on the bottom left (*~*)
