Embossing on thick parchcraft paper. After at least 12 years, this craft still amazes me. I am just floored by the resemblance to real handmade or manufactured laces. I wish it were more well known and popular in the US. It can only get supplies through the mail. My tools come from Australia. The parchment is made in Europe. I have experimented using various crochet hooks, metal craft embosers, etc. I can find suitable tools but the paper cannot easily be obtained.

You can Google "Parchcraft" or "Parchment Craft" or "Peragamo", etc. There are several sites that have Free patterns and you can find vendors online. Peragamo is the main source of the paper but now I think there may be some other makers of it. I can find substitutes for the tools but have not found a craft store that carries suitable paper. The owl that I posted earlier was made on a thin navy blue parchment that I purchased at a chain craft store. I was surprised that now, years later, that thin paper has held up very well but it does tear easily while embossing it.
