That's the remnant of the original black background. I can't tell if I would have liked it better without that, since the other zigzags from the jpeg/recolor became muted when I motion blurred it, and so recoloring the background afterwards made the zigzags very big and obvious in contrast... But I liked it better with the multicolored background, so I settled on leaving it this way. I'm glad you finally became reconciled to it, Wendy! LOL!

Talk about bizarre, Pat! I clicked on this puzzle shortly after I first logged on to Jigidi this morning...and I didn't appreciate it nearly as much as I do now. I REALLY like it! The black jagged line on the outside edge bothered me then...but now it looks fine and dandy.
