We will be praying for them too flkatz. They are such good horses.
We have a small island here in NC called Shackleford Banks, where the wild horses live. It's right there at Beaufort and Morehead City, NC. Tonight is our coldest night, way down in the lower teens and I just wonder if they're all snuggled up together. Frigid right there off of the water. Dear God:
Glad you liked it bluebird, thx 4 stopping by.
Wonderful photo! The texture of waves in the sand, the lumpy dune in the background with beaches and pale cloudy sky, and at the same time bright sand and deep shadows. And a peaceful old horse ambling along sampling the beach grasses. Puts me in a soft lazy summer mood.
Agnes thank you, Adriana it is wonderful. Thanks islandflyer for flying in.
It is pretty to see running free the horses..InnnHolland we have also running free horses in saome places..
The horse haven´t no one owner , it's not too often see, in our country - never.
Nice shot, cinderfire. It looks windy there, at least on this day.
Hey there PH & Gracie, he is not lonely as has company off to the side.
Beautiful! but he looks so lonely!!
Great shot. We have seen the horses on the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in VA.
No they just let them stay wild, that is a park or nature place for them. Can't think of the word vI want.
They just run wild? Do people capture them and keep them?
The areas they live in do have grasses that sustain them, they aren't always by the beach.
How do they find enough to eat?
At this time of the year I don't blame you chickie.
At first glance, I thought it was a snow horse. : )
Thanks girls. They were really pretty to see running free.
